The building was designed to be an architectural and engineering marvel that connects the past with the future, and changes the concept of traditional museums by using the latest innovative technologies. The building boasts the Arabic language, as its facade bears the sayings of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, engraved in a font designed by the artist Matar bin Lahej.

A symbolic building: The circular design symbolizes all of humanity, while the green hill on which it was built represents our connection as humans to our land, and the empty space in its middle emulates a promising future.
The museum embraces the culture of anticipating the future that has transformed the United Arab Emirates into one of the most advanced countries in the world in less than 50 years. It is a symbol of the spirit of courage, optimism and innovation that drives Dubai forward.
